The Janare project corresponds to the wish of an entire area to protect and emphasize autochthon vineyards as Falanghina and Aglianico. It is furthermore the first attempt of a territory zoning-action in order to exalt the characteristic of quality of the grapes, which is already giving its results.
The Janare Brand is devided into: Janare Cru and Selezione di Janare
Only the best vineyards are a guaranty of getting the best wines of the Janare Cru.
In order to get a good product it is very important the “green harvest” reducing the yield per hectare to 70 quintals, done to exalt the characteristic of the vineyards.
Selezione of Janare is the brand in which grapes are accurately selected. As consequence only the best vineyards in areas with great vocation and the use of modern transformation techniques guarantee to realize a selected and competitive product. In this case there’s no “green harvest” and the yield per hectare is naturally restricted to 120 quintals per hectare.
Janare Cru and Selezione exploit nowadays of a great technological innovation “the Winery into the Winery” for the production only of the quality wines. The technology used are the latest in the wine industry: For the production of white wines there are presses working in reduction exploiting the nitrogen attitudes and guaranteeing the cold-maceration. This allows to exalt the aromatic properties of the grapes and vines. For red wines there are frequent pump over, controlled temperature of fermentation and a great role is played by the barriques of French oaks used for the maturation of the great Aglianico.
The wines belonging to the Cru and Selezione are DOC and are distributed into the Ho.Re.Ca and super Ho.Re.Ca channels.
